Bar Code Verifiers
When a printer leaves our pre-delivery check, the printing system has been mechanically
optimized. However what thermal ribbon, label media, print head temperature and print speed is selected by the user,
or the host software, can cause the printer to print poor or unreadable barcodes. If you are printing barcodes, it is a sensible procedure to check their quality,
and adjust the variables in the printer or the PC, to ensure that they are being printed at the best possible quality, on the current
ribbon and labels in use. Incorrect settings of the print speed and print head temperature, can cause unreadable barcodes to be produced.
An unnecessarily high print head temperature, will also shorten the print heads life. Unfortunately, with the variations in media available, it is impossible to state any optimum settings.
A normal barcode scanner may be able to read the printed barcodes, but this does not guarantee that any other barcode scanner will also be
able to read the same code. Also it will not help you optimize the printer settings to produce the best and easiest to read barcodes, surely
the main reason for printing them! Honeywell barcode verifiers will quickly show you the quality of the barcodes, and allow you to adjust the
printer variables so that you are producing the best barcode possible.
Honeywell Quick Check PC600
